Who wants to change our Federal Income Tax System?

Have you ever wondered why our Federal income tax system is so complicated? It seems rather self explanatory. I work and the government wants to tax my income for government revenue. Sounds straight forward.

Employers automatically deduct the money for the government. Then we do the paperwork for the government by doing a first audit of ourselves. We send it in. They do a second audit to ensure that we audited ourselves correctly based on the thousands of pages of tax code/law that of course we are all well versed in. Then they send threatening letters to ensure if we missed a few pennies here or there we will feel intimidated enough to send the pennies in. Every so often they must send us letters to let us know they feel we owe back taxes from past years that they audited and somehow missed additional pennies and that those pennies that were conveniently missed are now enough to take your house and any other major assets they may extort from you.

It may just be that our government wants a extremely complicated code/law so that the masses have difficulty distinguishing if they are being mislead.

Why can't we have a simple Federal income tax system? Why can't it be a flat tax or a table that tells you the % owed in simple terms? Why can't it be equal and equitable to everyone whether rich or poor? If you make less money you should keep more? If you make more money you should pay other's share?

Should we continue to allow a tax system that clearly benefits big business to the extent they not only pay no tax but get funds to help their business invest to make more money for themselves? It is absurd.

I believe in paying tax to pay for the obvious benefits we get from our government institutions however I believe we have been led far down a deceitful path and we have the power to change where we are going.

A new Federal income tax system is needed and it is needed now. The only way that will happen is if we take action as citizens have done many times in our great past and have our voice heard.
